Roll on Roll off Skips for Rayleigh Recycling Centre

Overview

Ridgeway Manufacturing was awarded a contract by Essex County Council to supply 22 roll on roll off skips for use at the Rayleigh Recycling Centre in Essex. The order included 12 x 15 cubic yard hooklift RoRo skips and 10 x 30 cubic yard plasterboard skips, all manufactured at Ridgeway's West Midlands facility and delivered on time, to specification.

This project is a strong example of Ridgeway's ability to handle large, multi-unit public sector contracts with the consistency and production planning that councils require.

The brief

Essex County Council needed a substantial fleet of roll on roll off skips to support waste management and recycling operations at the Rayleigh Recycling Centre. The skips would be used for the collection and segregation of plasterboard and general waste streams at the site.

The order required two distinct product types: hooklift RoRo bodies in the 15 cubic yard size and larger 30 cubic yard containers specifically configured for plasterboard recycling. Across both product lines, consistency, build quality, and reliable delivery were essential requirements.
