tipping swarf bins, drain taps & baffle plates

Drain taps and baffle plates are fitted to our tipping skips where the customer has a need to remove any fluids from the unit prior to discharging the waste.

The baffle plate will normally be fixed at the bottom of the tipping skip body. A number of holes will be drilled or perforated into the baffle plate to allow any fluid to drain away from the waste prior to disposal. Our standard heavy duty drain tap is 12.50mm (1/2") diameter bore.

Typically fitted to our smaller units where they are used for collecting swarf or cuttings from engineering processes a drain tap & baffle plate can be fitted. This prevents any coolant/lubricant from being contaminated or entering the waste stream.
